Scenic Byways

  I.  Upper Falls Byway.
    A.  Create Upper Falls Drive, combining Lincoln Drive and Upper Falls Road.*
      1.  Kanawha County Routes 12 and 9 from the intersection with Rock Lake Drive to the intersection of Kanawha County Routes 9 and 9/1.
    B.  Create Upper Falls Byway as part of the West Virginia Byways and Backways Program along Kanawha Turnpike and Upper Falls Drive.
      1.  Kanawha County Routes 12 and 9 from Interstate 64 exit 55 to the intersection of Kanawha County Routes 9 and 9/1.

  II.  Walhonde Trail Byway.
    A.  Extend Kanawha Terrace from end to end, renaming West Main Street.*
      1.  Kanawha County Route 60/14 near Saint Albans.
    B.  Support the sponsoring organization in creating Walhonde Trail Byway as part of the West Virginia Byways and Backways Program.
      1.  B Street, Church Avenue and A Street in Saint Albans, Kanawha Terrace, Strawberry Road and Coal River Road.
        a.  B Street in Saint Albans From US Route 60 to Kanawha County Route 60/14.
        b.  Kanawha County Route 60/14 from B Street in Saint Albans to Kanawha County Route 60/2.
        c.  Kanawha County Route 60/2 from Kanawha Route 60/14 to Kanawha County Route 3.
        d.  Kanawha County Route 3 from Kanawha County Route 60/2 to Kanawha County Route 9.
        e.  Kanawha County Route 9 from Kanawha County Route 3 to Kanawha County Route 9/1.
        f.  Kanawha County Route 9/1 from Kanawha County Route 9 to Lincoln County Route 8 and beyond.




Additional Routes

  I.  If the Kanawha County Commission determines renaming is necessary to avoid duplication with other localities.*
    A.  Combine Ferrell Road, Dogwood Road, Shadyside Road, Pennsylvania Avenue and Second Street in Saint Albans under a single name.
      1.  This would make the highway between Upper Falls Drive and US Route 60 a through route.
        a.  Kanawha County Route 6/6, Pennsylvania Avenue and Second Street in Saint Albans.
    B.  Riverview Drive should become Golf Course Drive.
      1.  Kanawha County Route 9/16.
    C.  First Avenue should become Augusta Drive.
      1.  Kanawha County Route 9/11.
    D.  Second Avenue should become Vandalia Drive.
      1.  Kanawha County Route 9/12.
    E.  A Street should become one of the following, by priority:  Potomac Lane, Columbia Lane, Midway Lane, Shenandoah Lane, Allegheny Lane.
      1.  Kanawha County Route 9/10.
    F.  Thomas Hollow Road should become Thomas Lane.
      1.  Kanawha County Route 9/13.
